The Germans have improved the Mercedes Benz Gullwing which now features several new components that make the drive of this car thrilling. This is the latest model which boasts 591 horsepower and will henceforth be known as the SLS AMG GT Mercedes Benz.
The successful SLS AMG Mercedes Benz will for the 2013 model year go on to a new chapter that comprises the “GT” name and will be referred to as the SLS AMG GT. This model comes with various improvements on the engine, suspension, new forged wheels together with interior choices for customers of this great and powerful German car.
Among the most conspicuous improvements on this new car is the extra power courtesy of 6.2-liter V-8 propels to both rear forged wheels. The earlier models were producing 563 bhp at 6,800 RPM and torque of 480 lb-ft at 4,750 RPM. This can blast this great car to 62 mph in 3.8 seconds.
This new model uses a similar engine but now the 6.2-liter V-8 has had its in-engine de-throttled and addition in pressure which results in an amazing 591 horsepower at 6,800 RPM and 497 lb-ft at 4,750 RPM. This additional power is helpful in sending this great two-door car to 62 mph in only 3.7 seconds and to a restricted top speed of 198.84 mph
The entire 591 horses are passed on through AMG Speedshift DCT seven-speed dual-clutch diffusion which has been returned, to both the rear forged wheels.
There has been a reprogramming of the rear-axle mounted transmission to allow it to shift much faster in this new AMG GT Mercedes Benz model, with all the controls being optimized. When it is downshifted, its engine jerks, creating a more exhilarating driving experience.
The new AMG Ride Control Performance Suspension ensures that both the forged wheels and the performance tires always make appropriate contact with the road. The novel performance suspension setup uses an intricate system that comprises twin aluminum wishbones at each of the four corners and variable damping that is electronically controlled. This system examines information and instantly adjusts the suspension in order to reduce body roll.
The interior in the SLS AMG GT has not been changed and is just like the earlier models. Mercedes-Benz provides a wide variety of leather plus trims improvements to ensure that the cockpit is more accommodating to travelers. Apart from the interior choices, customers will be able to make orders for an array of AMG forged wheels that are weight-optimized in 19 and 20-inch sizes.
