in 2013, Ford has announced that they will stop manufacturing in Australia. Sales of the locally-made Ford Falcon sedan and Territory SUV have increased dramatically due to this sudden announcement.

To give back to their avid supporters, Ford has unveiled the Ford Falcon GT-F (in which the letter “F” stands for “final edition”) and announced that due to their factories closing in 2016, they will only produce 500 units of this car.

Many car enthusiasts have waited impatiently for the selling of the car and soon after, Ford have announced that all units of the Ford Falcon GT-F had been sold for $80,000 each unit even before it was unveiled to the public.

Last week, two units of the Ford Falcon GT-F have been auctioned at eBay: car 001 and car 500.

Many car enthusiasts have supported the auction especially since the proceeds will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

When the final bids had come in at 8pm on Sunday, both the cars have been auctioned at a total of $393,700. Car 001 have been sold for $157,600, which is almost twice the amount of regular selling price of the unit while Car 500 have been sold for a staggering amount of $236,100, a price that is almost thrice of the regular selling price of a Ford Falcon GT-F.

Car 001 is the blue sedan with black stripes that is used for media reviews so it is actually quite familiar to many while car 500 has still not been built.

The reason why the final bid of car 500 has gone higher compared to car 001 is because the final bidder of car 500 will be given the chance to design the vehicle except its gearbox.

Steven Clarke, the final bidder of car 500, has stated how he waited anxiously for the countdown to be down in its last 40 seconds before bidding $236,100.

He even said that he was willing to spend $250,000 for car 500 despite his family and friends thinking he have wasted a lot of money for the car.

But Clarke does not regret his decisions and is even happy that he has contributed to the National Breast Cancer Foundation since his wife had lumps removed from her breasts.

The Ford Falcon GT-F boasts of a hand-built 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine that is capable of producing 351 kW horsepower and 569 Nm of torque. With this engine, the Ford Falcon GT-F is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.9 seconds.

Since this is the last batch of Ford Falcon GT-F, the engineers behind Ford have put all of their knowledge in producing the best Ford Falcon GT ever.

Aside from the amazing engine it has, the Ford Falcon GT-F also has a launch control that gives the drivers the perfect control in starting the engine as well as adjustable suspensions that are perfect for racetrack
